What is a GarageCondo? It is an extension (or a replacement) of your residential garage. Do in it what you cannot do at home. Set up a wookworking shop and build furniture. Now is the time to restore that classic car that's been on your mind. It's a place to tinker and to enjoy the company of others who tinker. If you choose, just cram it full of all your stuff (and still enjoy the company of the tinkerers). Do you have a high-value boat or recreational vehicle that deserves secure inside storage? My-Place GarageCondos are sold as a non-residential condominium. Owners pay a modest monthly fee to the association to cover common-area maintenance and expenses.
What are they like? This innovative development resembles a mini-warehouse complex "on steroids". The buildings are of cement-block construction with shingle roofs, finished interiors and individually-metered electric service. Options include heat/air conditioning, upgraded electrical, added unit width, 2nd story mezzanine loft platforms and custom interior fixtures. Our 3-acre site will contain 39 units in five buildings, with two unit types as illustrated below. The development will feature a state-of-the-art security system with fenced and gated perimeter, restrooms, RV dump station and washdown area. Generous paved areas provide a wide turning radius for easy maneuvering.
An additional product design under consideration is the "ShadePort" unit (below). Also sold as a condiminium, these are 15' wide spaces with unit depths of 40' or 50'. It is a steel canopy structure with a concrete floor. Projected prices start at $28,900. Options include a 12' X 4' "workshop module", which is a secure enclosure installed under the canopy for tools, workbench and storage.
Common electric is standard with individually-metered service optional.
